About transcription
HearText converts audio captured from the microphone into text in real time. Offline transcription uses the speech recognition function provided by your device or OS. Where speech recognition is processed depends on the device, OS, language, settings, and the availability of the speech recognition service, and audio data may be sent to service providers such as Apple or Google. Premium transcription sends audio data to a speech recognition service provided by Google LLC for more accurate conversion. In either case, the operator of HearText does not store audio data and does not use it to train speech recognition models.
